Treatment Philosophy
At Greenhouse, we serve the greater Dallas area and beyond from our Grand Prairie facility. We know firsthand that one size does not fit all when it comes to addiction treatment, especially considering that many of our own staff members are in recovery themselves. Every person’s journey to recovery is unique. That’s why we offer individualized treatment plans and many levels of care, from inpatient medical detox where—where you can detox from any substances on which you’re physically dependent, in a safe and medically monitored environment—all the way to outpatient therapy. Based on your progress in treatment, you may adjust your plan as needed, moving between levels of care as necessary to ensure you’re getting the most out of your time at Greenhouse. Recovery from drug and alcohol addiction involves much more than detox. It requires new ways of thinking and new coping skills. Our program in Grand Prairie Texas includes numerous proven therapies to help you delve into the reasons behind your substance use, adjust harmful beliefs, uncover your motivations for getting sober, and learn new ways to cope that don’t involve substances. Our program also includes many expressive, recreational, and holistic therapies to introduce you to healthy ways to alleviate anxiety and help you learn to live a fulfilling life without drugs and alcohol. Your first step in your recovery journey is one of the most important steps you can take in your life. We make it easy to say yes to getting help by offering a range of features and amenities that will make your time in treatment comfortable, to help you heal your body (for example with chef-prepared balanced meals), and to allow you to focus entirely on what is most important: your recovery. Our wide range of features and benefits includes yoga classes, an indoor heated pool, a nutritionist, a meditation garden and bio-sound therapy available onsite for an additional fee, and more.

The Meadows Texas

Sunspire Health Texas helped me get my life and life skills back. It helped me learn how to be a successful human being again. They taught me how to work the 12 steps and how to just cope with the problems life throw at you. Very excited about being apart of the alumni program, and help other addicts learn about the importance of recovery and the 12 steps

Drug and Alcohol Addiction in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo is the seat of Potter County and the largest city in the Texas Panhandle. As the 14th-most populous city in the Lone Star State, Amarillo is home to a large percentage of people who need help fighting substance misuse and addiction.

Opioid misuse has been a serious public health concern in Amarillo for many years. In 2018, it was announced that Amarillo was ranked among the top 25 cities in the U.S. for having an opioid abuse problem.1 In the Fall of 2022, opioid misuse remained a public health issue in Amarillo since the number of reports of fentanyl overdose cases had tripled from 2021.2

According to Amarillo’s police department, fentanyl was seized by local enforcement in September 2022 and was disguised as colorful pieces of candy, including gummy bears.2 The report states that the purpose of drugs being made to look like candy was to target children and teenagers.2 A doctor in Amarillo added that nearly all drugs sold on the streets were being laced with fentanyl, including cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and hydrocodone.2

Fortunately, people in Amarillo with drug use disorders—including that related to alcohol and all other substances—have many options when it comes to choosing an addiction treatment center.
