This is my first review of an employer. I will celebrate one year with Luxe in one month. I have had the distinct honor to see and experience the vision and passion of the owners and the excellence to which they bring to this facility and profession. The site is beautiful and the environment is peaceful and healing. The quality of staff are screened to excellence and there is zero tolerance for mediocrity to patients or performance. We remain diligent in finding the best and the brightest team. I love being a part of such a personal and healing experience for patients and families. Addiction is divisive and chaotic. We are entrusted with the most precious gift for a short time. While creating a lifetime of coping skills and strategies. We take this responsibility very seriously. To this end I can honestly say that I have found and work with the best team and place for individuals to find recovery, healing and change. I will be forever grateful for being a part of LUXE. Thank you for allowing me to help guide this journey. VegasStrong!

Treatment Philosophy
Desert Hope, which is owned and operated by American Addiction Centers (AAC), believes that alcohol and drug abuse is a symptom of a deeper underlying issue. In order to stop the endless cycle of chemical dependency and build a new life, those struggling with a substance use disorder must learn to address these core issues and confront unresolved traumas. Desert Hope offers its clients the hope and support to do just that, maximizing the probability of long-term recovery by providing individualized treatment plans and clinical options for the restoration of mind, body, and spirit. Desert Hope is also in partnership with The Phoenix, a recovery-based charity group that provides exercise and lifestyle classes for those in recovery.

Drug and Alcohol Addiction in Blue Diamond, Nevada

Blue Diamond, Nevada is a considerably small town in Clark County with a population of only 326 people.1 Most residents own their homes here, and the public school system is above average,1 making it a great place for families with children.

Blue Diamond, Nevada, also has a low drug-related crime rate compared to the surrounding cities in Clark County. Blue Diamond ranks in the 59th percentile for safety, which means that 59% of all the cities within the country are more dangerous regarding drug-related crimes and other types of crimes.2 Of course, the chance of becoming a victim of a drug-related crime in Blue Diamond can be as high as 1 in 254 in the northeast neighborhoods,2 which isn’t too surprising since the small town is relatively close to Las Vegas—a destination city known for its party scene.

The town of Blue Diamond is also no stranger to overdose-related deaths. Between 2019 and 2020 alone, the entire state of Nevada saw a 55% uptick in unintentional overdose-related deaths,3 with a 20% increase attributed to heroin, 76% increase attributed to all opioids in general, and 227% increase attributed to fentanyl.3

Local authorities in Clark County believe that fentanyl has become the primary reason for all of these unintentional overdose-related deaths sweeping through the state and country.4 There were at least 42 fentanyl-related deaths during the month of August in 2021, contributing to a total of 193 opioid-related deaths within the same year.4

The primary issue is that those in the business of selling illicit substances are now using fentanyl to cut or lace products, putting those who use drugs like MDMA just once in the same amount of danger as those who struggle with substance use disorders involving virtually any kind of opioid.4 This is largely due to the fact that fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that’s 100 times more potent than morphine, which means even the smallest dose can cause an unknowing individual to overdose.5

Blue Diamond, Nevada Detox and Rehab Availability

Nevada is currently home to roughly 19,926 treatment facilities for substance use disorders.6 Only 26% of those treatment facilities offer inpatient treatment, while 83% offer outpatient treatment.6

However, there are approximately 39 different treatment facilities within just 25 miles of Blue Diamond, Nevada.7 The following are the different options available to individuals based on treatment type:

  • 13 of the 39 facilities offer detox treatment
  • 32 of the 39 facilities offer outpatient treatment
  • 11 of the 39 facilities offer residential (inpatient) treatment
  • 26 of the 39 facilities offer co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment
