I arrived at the Etta facility having already been through detox at a hospital in Gulfport, MS. I spent two days in quarantine pending results of a COVID test, which I get. The result was negative but I was held there an additional two days without explanation. I received no therapy or counseling during this time. Remember, I was not in detox status. On my second day there I was given a PPD skin test screening for TB exposure. No one ever read the result or discussed it with me. My insurance company was charged however. The staff at Etta was generally pleasant and seemed to care about clinical matters. They are however quite disconnected from communication perspective both internally and externally. I believe my insurance carrier should not have been billed for those useless two days or the TB test.
Best program ever. They worked with me on every level to do what they could do. My daughter went thru this program twice. I have a granddaughter there now & I can’t say enough of how much it has meant to my daughter… I lost a child while she was there. I didn’t know if this program or she would have been there also… don’t hesitate to send your love one there. God us in this place…
I definitely had a spiritual awakening during my stay at Oxford Treatment Center and I’d like to give a lot of thanks to Morgan my counselor. She’s so understanding and caring, and her heart is definitely in the right place. I’d like to also thank Maria and Kim in case management for being so thoughtful and helpful to secure a discharge plan for me. I enjoyed everything especially Mr Hank’s classes on the hijacked brain plus Mr Barry’s addiction education groups. I loved the awards ceremony because the energy is so electric in the room. Thanks Oxford for helping me find myself, and I will always recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
