Cranston, RI Detox and Rehab Centers

There are different types of treatment programs that patients can participate in. Some of these programs include:

• Detox: During detox, patients can get rid of the substances from their bodies in a safe and comfortable environment. Sometimes the patients receive medication to assist with the process.⁷
• Inpatient or residential rehab treatment: In an inpatient treatment program, patients will be monitored day and night as they stay in the facility 24/7. Patients receive therapeutic care from trained clinicians and therapists.⁸
• Outpatient rehab treatment: During outpatient treatment, patients are focused more on relapse prevention. They will attend scheduled therapy sessions throughout the week. ⁹
• Intensive outpatient program (IOP): During IOP, patients are still in outpatient rehab, but there is a higher level of treatment and monitoring. Patients will attend several hours a week.¹⁰
• Partial hospitalization program (PHP): At a PHP, patients will be in a nurturing environment that provides full-time, therapeutic treatment before returning to their own homes at night.¹¹
