Deerfield Beach, FL Detox and Rehab Centers

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid 50 times stronger than heroin that is often manufactured to look like prescription pills such as Xanax, Vicodin, or Oxycontin.³ Lab results from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency in 2021 showed that 40% of fentanyl-laced fake pills contain a potentially deadly dose of the drug.³ In an effort to reduce the number of fentanyl-related deaths, Broward County law enforcement is urging people to not purchase prescription drugs illegally and seek help for their addiction.⁴

Deerfield Beach has seen some improvement in drug-related crime. Drug arrests in Deerfield Beach were down 50% from 2019 to 2020, however, DUI arrests spiked from just 38 in 2019 to 150 in 2020.^5,6
