Dulzura, CA Detox and Rehab Centers

Dulzura is an unincorporated community in San Diego County, California. Drug and alcohol support groups are groups where people in recovery voluntarily gather to receive and provide support to others struggling with substance use.⁷ These are nonprofessional groups where people share experiences and coping strategies and offer a safe space for understanding.⁷ Studies have reported that attending these meetings can significantly help with treatment engagement and long-term sobriety.⁷

According to Alcoholics Anonymous San Diego, there is an AA meeting every Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center located at 1136 Community Bldg Rd, Dulzura, CA 91917.⁸ This meeting is open to the public, follows a discussion format, and is wheelchair accessible.⁸

Although there are no Narcotics Anonymous meetings in Dulzura, CA, those looking for in-person meetings can attend the ones in Campo, California. Meetings are held every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Mountain High Freedom Ranch at 1777 Buckman Springs Road, Campo, CA 91906.⁹ In addition, there are also virtual NA meetings that people can attend from anywhere.⁹

There are many styles of substance abuse support groups, but the most recognized ones are Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).⁷ Both follow the 12-Step method to provide guidance and assistance during recovery.⁷
