Fallbrook, CA Detox and Rehab Centers

Informally known as the world’s “Avocado Capital,” the city of Fallbrook, California is located east of Camp Pendleton, about an hour away from beaches on the Pacific Coast. As an added bonus, the city is near several addiction treatment centers that can help people who want to recover from substance misuse in and near Fallbrook.

Sadly, opioid misuse has been an ongoing public health concern in San Diego County, where Fallbrook resides.¹ In 2019, the county’s health department and Health and Human Services Agency were awarded a grant from the CDC to combat opioid misuse.¹

From 2019 to 2021, the number of fentanyl-related deaths in San Diego County grew by 441%, and the number of fentanyl seizures by the DEA and local police departments increased by 313%.² Fortunately, the county has opioid treatment programs for those who need help recovering from fentanyl and opioid misuse.

There are 3 drug and alcohol rehab centers within 10 miles of Fallbrook—one of which is in Camp Pendleton.³

Detoxification services and residential rehab programs are offered at 1 of these facilities.³ Outpatient rehab programs and co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment are offered at 2 of these facilities.³ Three facilities offer telemedicine services and interim care for those who are waiting to be admitted to other treatment centers.³

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) are 12-Step drug and alcohol support groups that are free and open to anyone who has expressed a desire to stop using these substances.⁵ Research shows that people in recovery who get involved in AA and NA early on are more likely to experience a better recovery outcome in terms of abstinence.⁵

Fallbrook is home to 37 AA meetings that are held 7 days a week at various times of the day.⁶ Many of these meetings are held at the Hilltop Center for Spiritual Living on 331 E. Elder Street, the Crossroads Church at 731 S. Stage Coach Lane, and La Luz at 1446 S.
