Recovery Unplugged
Ya know I thought this music thing was a big joke when I first heard abour recovery unplugged. I couldn't have been more wrong. The reality is addict or non addict we all connect to different types to music. As an addict my biggest problem was learning how connect with myself and find my own identity. Recovery unplugged gave me opportunity to do just that. The living residence was great. It's right by the beach, they have a pool, and I got to use the phone!!!
River Oaks Treatment Center
Travis has been an amazing therapist while undergoing treatment. He empowers all clients during every stage of treatment from start to finish. His unique approach to groups allows for every client to feel safe and comfortable to share and participate in each session. He also likes to create smaller breakout groups which allows for more participation from everyone. Travis is also heavily involved with community meetings and helps to advocate for clients. He is an amazing asset to the River Oaks staff and has really made this experience so much more enjoyable.
Coastal Detox
Dream Center for Recovery (DCR) worked wonders for me. I am currently one year sober and it's all due to DCR. DCR has taught me coping skills and how to make my life manageable again. The accommodations are nonetheless more than expected. Rooms are clean, pool is maintained, rec center / cafeteria cleaned. The chef onsite bakes everything. No fried food. If you're allergic to a certain food and / or are a vegetarian, Chef accommodates as much as possible. Every Sunday there's adventure therapy. You learn to live again without the need of alcohol or drugs. DCR tries to bring you back to normality as healthy as possible. I would and have already recommended DCR to people in need of recovery.
