Fountain Valley, CA Detox and Rehab Centers

Fountain Valley, California, is located in the heart of Orange County, north of Huntington Beach and just south of Anaheim. Despite being located in the highly coveted location of Southern California, Fountain Valley is not immune from substance misuse, addiction, and drug-related crime. Between 2017 and 2021, Fountain Valley reported 85 drug and alcohol-related deaths.¹ Broken down further, 54 of the deaths were due to drugs, and 31 involved alcohol.¹

In April 2022, 4 people were arrested in a marijuana bust in Fountain Valley.² Police said they recovered more than 143 pounds of pot and 100 pills believed to be ecstasy.²

In 2017, a physician assistant who worked at a Fountain Valley medical clinic was convicted on federal drug trafficking charges for illegally writing prescriptions for narcotics without a medical need.³ Those prescriptions included oxycodone, methadone, and alprazolam.³

Looking at alcohol misuse, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a crash in Fountain Valley in 2019.⁴ Six people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.⁴

Across the county, there were 266 alcohol-impaired driving deaths between 2016 and 2020.⁵

• All Saints Anglican Church, 18082 Bushard St.
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 a.m.
• King of Glory Lutheran Church, 10280 Slater Ave.
  • Sunday and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

NA meetings are also held at the King of Glory Lutheran Church Mondays at 7 p.m.⁹

Support groups such as AA and NA help their members stay positive and motivated to remain sober as they continue their recovery journey.
