River Oaks Treatment Center
My therapist Saffiyah and the therapists who facilitated the groups helped me tremendously. Amy in particular had a class that we did poetry and we all wrote poems and shared them and it was amazing. Dimitrius group was great. The services here were extremely helpful. The group therapy here is so important, they gave a lot of hope. Its so regimented here and I got a lot of interaction so I'm going to continue with after care to maintain that structure and stay in contact with my sobriety. I like that the facility is secluded, it was really unique for me being in a place with big oak trees and spanish moss. There is a fountain here that is really peaceful to sit and reflect. I enjoyed the nature path. It took me a while to come out of my shell but they have lots of activities like bingo, trivia, and volleyball. I was able to find my self again here with time away to reflect. I would definitely recommend River Oaks to anyone looking to get better.
Covenant House Florida - Substance Abuse Intervention
One of the largest and best know in the West Palm Area. Buildings are old and also located on a noisy and busy street. Offers treatment scolarships as well as accepting most insurances.
Sunrise Detox Center
Unfortunately I have been to many detox centers, but this by far was the best experience. I believe they have locations in Fort Lauderdale and two in New Jersey. The opiate detox was stress free and they helped me realize that I needed to to follow through with my recovery.
