Cottonwood Tucson
The family week was very well run (great, effective therapists and good program) and powerful. Loved the hippo therapy particularly, very enlightening. And loved being outside so much, very open and beautiful campus. Would not do well in a hospital setting. Wasn't happy with all of the therapeutic decisions/actions at the time but in retrospect they were for the best. Individual and group therapy, hippo therapy, art therapy, informative lectures, off-site 12 step meetings, knowledgable and caring staff, held me accountable, responded quickly to medical emergency (reaction to new prescribed medication), great and healthy food, opportunity for exercise (yoga to boot camp)
The Meadows
Ability to deal w individuals struggling w one or multiple serious & life threatening addictions. Program is very thorough but only works if individual seeking treatment truly wants to be helped. Needs to ensure patient is a aware of importance of having an aftercare program lined-up immediately upon being discharged from facility. The Meadows was the only rehab facility that worked for my brother
Silver Sands Recovery
Compassion and therapy also the quality of treatment was phenomenal. The only thing I would have changed was having equine therapy I had been to ten treatment centers and nothing was working for me, I was labeled a chronic relapser who was deemed helpless. I got to silver sands with a closed mind and not enough willingness but with the constant supervision love and compassion today I am two years clean. I had therapy regularly and was treated like a person, even the owner has been a crucial part of my recovery. Silver sands showed me how to live in the outside world while still in treatment. Today I am clean and greatful and my family gets to have thier daughter back and I have silver sands to thank.
