Good food, good exercise, good staffing. Not so clean. It's a little crowded.
After having been lost most of my life, not knowing what was truly going on I finally found Cottonwood. I suffer from mental health issues due to trauma and Cottonwood saved my life. I just couldn\'t cope and needed real treatment. It\'s not a spa like the other places I\'ve been. The people that work there treat you like family. It was small so I didn\'t feel like just another number. Even the Pharmacist met with me for one ones. My medication finally works and I feel like I can move on with my life because I can cope with my mental health issues and actually embrace them.
I had my doubts about AHL because of experiences in other places. I figured it was just another brick in the wall. After a call to AHL, I made the decision to meet and talk with the owner. It was the smartest choice I could have made. Surprisingly, he not only understood what was happening in my thought process, but he helped me get deeper into it to figure out why it was happening. What I learned gave me better perspective while I was there and it continues to be an active part of my daily life. Five stars, simply amazing! Seclusion is a wonderful thing. In order to clear my head I had to silence the noise. AHL's remote location was the ideal place to do this as they are on a mountain, away from the daily grind. I wouldn't necessarily call it a weakness because it's not something everybody does...but I enjoy swimming regularly.
