Methamphetamine was the primary cause of overdose deaths in older Riverside County residents in 2021.3 That year, methamphetamine was responsible for 398 fatal overdoses in the county, mostly in adults aged 45 to 64.3
Binge drinking in San Jacinto is on par with the rest of Riverside County.6 Just over 17% of adults in San Jacinto admitted to binge drinking at least once a month in 2019.6 Binge drinking is defined by the CDC as having 5 or more drinks for men and 4 or more drinks for women during 1 occasion.7
