Dream Center for Recovery (DCR) worked wonders for me. I am currently one year sober and it's all due to DCR. DCR has taught me coping skills and how to make my life manageable again. The accommodations are nonetheless more than expected. Rooms are clean, pool is maintained, rec center / cafeteria cleaned. The chef onsite bakes everything. No fried food. If you're allergic to a certain food and / or are a vegetarian, Chef accommodates as much as possible. Every Sunday there's adventure therapy. You learn to live again without the need of alcohol or drugs. DCR tries to bring you back to normality as healthy as possible. I would and have already recommended DCR to people in need of recovery.
Our family is eternally grateful to the staff of Recovery Unplugged for facilitating our son's (so far) recovery from opiate addiction. Upon the first call, we were supported and all obstacles were removed so that my son could be admitted and treated. We were given respect and consideration throughout the process. It was the first time, in a long time that we could take a deep breath. We were especially impressed by an extensive and effective 3 day family program. I would recommend Recovery Unplugged, Ft Lauderdale to any and all in need.

It’s often helpful to pair a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with a complementary support group program, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).9 These groups offer people fellowship with other like-minded individuals and provide support through group discussions, testimonials, and adherence to the 12-Step model.9
You can meet in an informal setting and come as you are.9 Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous are open to all people. No matter what your background, religion, or beliefs, you are welcome to join the group.9 Their main mission is to lead addicted people to a place of hope.9
You can find an AA or NA near you by contacting a local chapter in your town.
