Futures were very good to me and added me to their private Alumni group, I keep in touch with a lot of the people I was in treatment with. It's a pretty awesome part of my recovery. 5 out of 5 stars! Well rounded and structured, beautiful environment, amazing gym and trainers. They were going through changes while I was there so it was a bit messy at times. There was a lot of rule changes that they made before thinking about how it would effect the others clients.
Program was very strict, worked half days Monday-Friday, then had classes, sometimes from 1-7, sometimes from 1-5. Church required on Sunday am, Wed. pm. Daily Bible reading, prayer, and quiet time required This was for the Women's program, the Men's may be different. Lots of unwritten rules,, so be sure to read the weekly meeting notes so you know what they are. Must be highly motivated when you go there, the classes they provide help if you're ready to change, but the program is so strict, it won't work if you're not ready. It helps to be away from the outside world, but can only see family once a week after the first month, and also only talk on the phone with family once a week. Only allowed to leave the farm once a month for 7 hours, then only with an approved family member. It has a high success rate. I've been sober for 5 years now. I would re-enter if I ever relapsed, but feel they gave me the tools I needed so that won't happen. It was free, had classes daily that helped correct my thinking, and kept me away from alcohol while I was there so was able to start thinking more clearly.
Both of the Franks who are nurses up front really helped me. They were so quick and personable, they really know you by name here. I would look forward to med pass when they were there. They were both very efficient. Trina my therapist was so easy to talk to and if I had any schedule conflicts she was always able to make it work. My favorite person who led groups was Travis because he would put us in our own smaller groups and it would help to get to know everyone who was there. It also helped the time go by quicker because it was engaging and fun. I had a cast on my arm while I was here and they made accommodations for me. Movie night on the weekends were fun. They had nachos for the Super Bowl. This was my first time in treatment and it was very eye opening because I learned things about myself from clinical professionals and understanding that even though I'm an addict, I'm not a terrible person I just needed guidance. When I leave here my case managers set me up with all my after care which is super affordable and I will be taking advantage of those services to help me maintain my sobriety. I was also able to get my meetings set up and some phone numbers for some guys in recovery to helps me when I get home.
