ABOUT ADCARE RHODE ISLAND
Set on 30 acres of wooded land in the historic New England town of North Kingstown, AdCare Rhode Island offers residential and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance abuse disorder. The facility is also one of only two non-hospital substance abuse treatment facilities in Rhode Island to provide medically monitored detox services.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients who require detox receive 24/7 nursing supervision and medication to help alleviate the severity of withdrawal symptoms. AdCare is also among the 60.4 percent of substance abuse treatment facilities in Rhode Island that can prescribe psychiatric medications for co-occurring disorders, if needed.
After detoxification and/or crisis stabilization, clients may enter into the acute residential treatment program, which utilizes cognitive treatment methods including psychoeducational groups, group counseling, individual therapy, and a range of expressive therapies. AdCare also offers a range of family counseling and support services.
Clients who complete the residential program may transition into the outpatient program as a form of aftercare. They're also encouraged to continue their treatment via community-based groups and AdCare's alumni groups.
