I recently received in patient detox treatment, felt good enough to leave and tend to my adult responsibilities i.e. rent, car payments, job... Early. Two days early. And i received the worst attitude, rude in fact from all of the staff in regards to check out because it was earlier than recommended, that meant i no longer mattered, that my recovery was nothing but a joke to them from day 1? That alone made me want to go use... But it was the tech that walked me out with my things in paper bags....she said good luck to you, were here for you if you need us. And those words mean the world. I dont even know her name. But i appreciate that and her. .. And didnt. As far as the rest they really are two sided and two faced. Sad. I feel sorry for them. God bless. ❤

Strengths: the ability to make everyone welcome A weakness was that they were keeping it modern It would be a great resource for those uncomfortable

My daughter recently went to Calvary. We have had good interactions with them in the past, and belong to a support group that is run by a past Calvary staff member. I believe Calvary has helped many addicts, however my daughter had an unfortunate experience with Calvary. She was admitted to Detox (they billed our insurance and charged my credit card). After medicating her for Detox all was going well, she signed the paperwwork to be transferred into the residential program which is why she wanted to go here. A day later I got a phone call from her Case Manager stating their was a potential patient conflict, she knew someone in the program and they were afraid they would conspire to leave. They didn\'t want to put the other patient at risk so they would discharge her after Detox or transfer her to another facility. I spoke to the medical director and offered a couple of solutions 1. keep the 2 patients apart for 3 days (they would overlap for 3 days only) or 2. sit them down with a counselor and get them to agree to support each others recovery. They rejected these potential resolutions, went on a three day weekend (this was a Friday). My daughters anxiety kicked in and she did what addicts do, she left to go self medicate. They expected her to make an rational decision while she was on detox meds, any addict knows that when on detox medications you are pretty out of it. I picked her up 3 days later living on the streets asking for help. Thankfully we got her into a facility that is professional and cares about their patients. Ironically the medical director called my 3 days after she left and was living on the street and said the other patient had discharged and she was now welcome back. They guy is pretty lucky we were not having a face to face conversation! I hate to persuade anyone from getting treatment, I have heard good stories about Calvary, but I felt it important to ensure this story was told. All we can do is make as an informed decision we can about treatment and where we go. Before getting into this industry the CEO was a waterworks Sales person. Not a lot of experience and never returned my phone calls. Good luck and God be with you on your search for recovery.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and most are in recovery themselves. The lectures and meetings are interesting and really off patients a lot of support. Therapy is both individual and group, and is better than any other I have been a part of. Accommodations are not that great. However, I guess that's not what patients are there for. I would highly recommend Calvary. I feel that going there was the first step in saving my life.
