ABOUT CHATEAU RECOVERY IN MIDWAY, UT

From a leafy street in small-town Midway, in the foothills of Utah's Wasatch Mountains, Chateau Recovery treats adult men and women struggling with substance use disorder or a dual diagnosis. The center offers a multidisciplinary residential treatment program, but medical detox is not available on-site.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The length of treatment varies according to the client's needs, but Chateau Recovery can accommodate residents for up to 90 days — positioning the center among the 26.4 percent of Utah-based facilities that offer residential treatment lasting longer than 30 days.

To be admitted, clients may either call the facility directly or fill out an inquiry form on the Chateau Recovery website. The center's program pursues a "whole self" approach to addiction recovery, drawing from evidence-based clinical practices, extensive holistic offerings, and 12-step and/or SMART Recovery principles — though the center stresses that it avoids applying the 12-steps or any other program as a "one size fits all" approach. In facilitating the 12-Steps at all, the center is among the 66.1 percent of Utah-based facilities that use the program.

To modify destructive behavioral and thinking patterns, the center uses evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and rational-emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). Each week, residents participate in two individual therapy sessions and five group therapy sessions.

Outside of traditional therapy, residents can participate in a therapeutic canine training program, yoga three times a week, outdoor exploration and sporting events. The facility also offers an "addict to athlete" sports training program. More traditional holistic methods in use at the facility include meditation and art therapy.

The reviewers repeatedly echoed those polled by Rehabs.com, emphasizing the center's individualized approach and healing environment. "I have more than my fair share of rehab experience, but what makes the Chateau so unique from any others is the fact that they don't just hand you an AA Big Book and wish you luck. They give options and understand that sobriety and recovery modalities are not one-size-fits-all," Carolyn wrote in a representative review on Yelp.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

Both of the loved ones polled by Rehabs.com to date gave similarly glowing feedback. B.A.J., the single loved one polled on the facility's performance in a variety of treatment metrics, gave the center five stars in most of the evaluated areas, including its family participation, counseling options, and ability to treat co-occurring disorders. I've been thinking a lot about how to write this review... as I want to make a statement that is heartfelt because Chateau 1000% deserves it. If you are looking for a life changing event, like really want to change your life....you know.. the life you had before all the weight that sits on your shoulders today (do you remember that feeling?)....this is your place to change. The counselors, nurses, staff are literally 2nd to NO ONE. This establishment deserves 5 stars in every category imaginable. Yes, the food is great, yes the rooms are amazing, yes the staff is insanely heartfelt. Do they hold you accountable? YES! I'll tell you right now, if you need help, this is the place. Stop searching for something better because there isn't one. They saved me and I hope that you find the courage to extend a hand and realize that some of us can't do it on our own. One lesson, of many I learned there, is it is OK to not be OK. That thought is a struggle for me as I have always been the strong one. However, that lesson, in particular, changed my life. It is OK to not be OK and I needed someone to pull me out of the rabbit hole and Chateau did that for me and countless others. 100%, without a doubt, you cannot go wrong with walking thru Chateau's doors. You will not be sorry for choosing them. I wish you all the best of luck in your recovery journey and the courage to say... I can't do this on my own. Your life will get better... you just have to ask for help sometimes.

Chateau Recovery is an amazing place, from the location, the clients, staff, therapists, and overall climate is amazing. The organization of this facility is by far the best and can\'t be beat. The assistance they provide to first responders is number one and those seeking treatment for PTSD and other mental health issues who are or were in first responder rolls will come out better than they had ever been.

This place is not what I expected, and I got the sobriety and treatment I needed. The staff is very out going and get to know you. They did not treat me like I was just another patient and just going through the process. The house was clean and neat. They had weights, ping pong, and plenty of outdoor activities available. The food was the best I had in a good while. It was prepared daily. I was here for thanks giving and got to enjoy a great Thanksgiving dinner. The staff mentors were out of this world.

This place has been a Godsend. It has helped with resetting and rebuilding both life and family relationships. I didn\'t know what was going to happen or where I was going before coming here. The staff here have helped in more ways than I can count.

If you have a loved one that is struggling with addiction and/or mental illness, there is no better recovery center. I came here seeking support for complex trauma and severe anger control issues. The Chateau taught me how to change my mindset from internal (me) to outward (ours). I learned how to communicate through my anger in a healthy and respectful manner. Whereas before I had no control, boundaries, and no idea of who I really was, here I was able to develop a personality based on the core values of Calmness, honesty, love, and respect. I found a purpose for my life that was never lost, just shadowed in the wake of trauma, grief and anger. Chateau gave me a 2nd chance at loving myself and my family the way I and they need. If you are a first responder like me, this place has a tight knit family in the community of clients for you to process your trauma and grief. Thank you, Jason S. Rosenthal
