Denver Recovery Center

295 Interlocken Blvd #400, Broomfield, Colorado, 80021
Denver Recovery Center is an addiction treatment center in Colorado that specializes in holistic and evidence-based treatment. At our rehab center, we believe treating substance addiction requires a full continuum of care that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. A person isn’t defined by their addiction, so why should their treatment be?

Specialization

  • Client & Family Support Groups

Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
  • Family Program

Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

Some people leave bad reviews based on their experience while they are still detoxing and leave early due to the fact that they don't want to accept that recovery is hard work and requires descipline. I was negative at first, complained about trivial issues but then I stayed and it was the best decision of my life. The program can only work if you comply with it. I don't want to go back to drinking and using. This program saved my life at a time when I thought there was no hope left. I am humbled and grateful for every day that I remain clean and sober. So I suggest strongly if you or your loved one is suffering from addiction, go to this place and stay for the duration before you form an opinion. They save lives!

Our son attended their inpatient center. We thought things were going well, except for lack of family involvement as promised, until we discovered that he was prescribed a few drugs. The scariest one is a dangerous antipsychotic medication called seroquel for its off label use to treat anxiety and insomnia. Now he is addicted to that medication and is suffering very unpleasant withdrawals As he is attempting to stop the drug. He was completely unaware of the nature of the drugs he was on and trusted their doctor to his own detriment! Our son reports most patients are prescribed this very dangerous drug at their treatment center. Shameful!

To clarify, yes, the house manager held what I would liken to a "house meeting" regarding my eating/exercise habits, out of concern, no, I do not find that to be professional, nor appropriate; I wouldn't chalk my experience to single-star review, though. I found most staff, really, all of the staff to be great. My living circumstances made things difficult, but I appreciated the experience. Staff addressed the issue with the house manager, fairly promptly. Difficulties with diet, being the only vegetarian. After completing one treatment program, I left DRC's in a few weeks, after my trust was completely violated, but that is just my experience. Really sincerely wish the former review wouldn't have painted this light of me, nor my experience. I have only positives for a great deal of my experience there. It was tough as hell, at times, because it's a mix of sober living/rehab, and I believe there could have been more around the clock assistance, but the center only opened this year. Shoutout to everyone who helped me along the way.
