Gateway Recovery Center for Women
615 North 19th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72914
At Gateway Recovery Center, women are offered comprehensive substance abuse treatment services in a welcoming, family-friendly residential setting. With an emphasis on evidence-based treatment, residents are provided with a range of traditional therapies, 12-step services, and educational coursework focusing on issues such as addiction, parenting, grief, shame, and abuse. Childcare, transportation, medical services, family education, and vocational training are provided as well.
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Residential TreatmentResidential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
Holistic TherapyFacilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
