Gold Bridge Treatment Center is a residential treatment facility in Louisburg, Kansas. The intimate, 16-bed facility provides comprehensive care for adults struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health concerns. The treatment facility near Kansas City is among the 27 treatment facilities in Kansas to provide non-hospital, residential services. Although Gold Bridge Treatment Center does not provide detoxification services, clinicians can refer individuals to other nearby facilities to undergo detox before transferring into its residential program.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission into the program, clients participate in an initial assessment to help clinicians develop an individualized treatment plan. Gold Bridge Treatment Center’s programming combines evidence-based treatment approaches with holistic treatments to help clients achieve a “balanced, healthy life of recovery.”
During residential treatment, clients participate in daily group therapy sessions and regular one-on-one counseling sessions with an assign counselor. Utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), counseling sessions are designed to help clients identify and tolerate difficult emotions, as well as explore the links between thoughts and addictive behaviors. Clients also attend psychoeducational classes and workshops on nonviolent communication and shame resilience.
Dually diagnosed clients may also receive ongoing psychiatric evaluations and medication management to address any co-occurring mental health concern, placing the center among 39.7% of Kansas facilities to provide care for co-occurring disorders.
In addition, Gold Bridge Treatment Center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), as prescribed by a psychiatrist, to help alleviate the discomfort of withdrawal and minimize cravings. Within the state, the treatment facility may be among the 17.3% of Kansas facilities to support the use of Suboxone during treatment.
Along with traditional treatment approaches, the Kansas facility also integrates a number of holistic and experiential treatments, including arts and expressive therapy, narrative therapies, fitness classes, and guided meditation sessions. In most cases, loved ones are also invited to attend family counseling sessions. The length of residential treatment is determined by the client’s unique needs and progress in treatment.
Once a client completes residential treatment, clinicians help clients to form a comprehensive aftercare plan, which may include referrals to an outpatient program, sober housing, local support groups, and private therapists.
