We offer a complementary consultation to see if intervention is right for your loved one. We will then guide you in creating a plan of action. Consultations can take place by phone or in person, and can include several family members, friends, and colleagues. Every intervention provided by ISA - Intervention and Recovery Specialists is unique. No two interventions are identical. They are customized to meet the needs of your loved one. However, our goal for every intervention we facilitate is the same: Using love, care and concern, we guide the family, manage the circumstances, and help the individual make his or her own, personal choice to reach out for recovery.

Meet the Staff
Julian PickensFounder/CEOAs founder of ISA - Intervention Services of Arizona, and a Board Certified Interventionist, Julian Pickens, Ed.D. has been helping families across the country give their loved ones the opportunity to choose the path of recovery since 1976. Dr. Pickens is a pioneer in the field of intervention in Arizona, and a noted speaker on the intervention process nationally. He retired from Valley Hope Association after 26 years of service. He completed post-doctoral work in the School of Alcohol Studies at Rutgers University in 1975, and while there, trained under the father of modern intervention, Dr. Vernon Johnson. He has conducted over 2000 interventions and is nationally licensed by the Association of Intervention Specialists. He is licensed in Arizona as an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor, as well as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Jerry LawCounselorJerry L. Law, D. Min., is a veteran of over 25 years in the corporate world, and his strong leadership and organizational skills lend themselves naturally to the intervention process. He is a Board Certified Interventionist and a Master Certified Drug, Alcohol and Addiction Counselor. In his private practice Jerry works as a Pastoral Counselor and holds Masters and Doctorate Degree in Biblical Counseling, with an undergraduate degree in Theology. Jerry is a member of NAADAC, The Association of Interventionist Specialists, The American Association of Christian Counselors, and is Board Certified by the International Board of Christian Counselors. In recovery himself, Jerry brings compassion and a first-hand understanding about how critical it is to break the cycle of addiction in the professional world as well as within the family.
