ABOUT JOURNEYPURE QUESTHOUSE
Part of the JourneyPure network of facilities, JourneyPure Questhouse provides residential treatment for adults struggling with chemical dependency. The center in Bowling Green in western Kentucky also treats co-occurring disorders and is among one-third of the substance abuse treatment facilities in the state that serves this dual diagnosis client segment. The facility also offers a specialized, Christian-based treatment track track. Although Bowling Green does not provide on-site detox, the center will help find an appropriate program prior to admission.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Upon admission, clients undergo an initial substance abuse and psychiatric assessment to guide clinicians in forming an individualized treatment plan. JourneyPure Questhouse combines integrated, evidence-based treatment modalities with immersion in 12-Step. Methods include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to address issues of trauma, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
During treatment, clients participate in a structured schedule of individual and group therapy sessions, as well as trauma-focused therapy. Clients receive at least four individual therapy sessions weekly and are assigned a recovery coach who meets with them multiple times a week. Family counseling also is offered.
Along with core programming, clients engage in holistic activities, such as experiential and recreational treatments, including music therapy, art therapy, psychodrama, equine therapy, songwriting, yoga, and meditation.
When clients complete the residential program, they are eligible to receive one year of comprehensive aftercare services, which includes referrals to a local network of recovery homes to help transition to community-based treatment. Through the proprietary JourneyPure Coaching app, clients may communicate with staff through secure messaging and video chat, receive nutritional guidance, and complete a daily recovery log.
JourneyPure Questhouse’s website advertises a “professional, licensed and experienced staff.” The organization employs a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and recovery coaches.
