My son has had to go there a few times do to his insurance will cover 10days but nothing better so not much of a choice. Doctor don't listen to his needs then get him on meds to help with withdrawals and his severe anxiety but don't write a prescription to home with to continue his process of getting better so relapse and ends up back to try to get back his medicines without it in possibly to stay clean and keep your anxiety and manic episode down Have even called doctor's office outside of this place emergency calls over over again not one return

Worst place to go get help. Sent there cause I went off my Xanax alone - got put on some crap meds. Dr. Ripa the director kept me there 4 - 10 days for what? The pills didn’t help no therapy - people took my clothes, & was court ordered by a Medicare judge to be released lol 😂 what a joke - only to be back in the Darlington facility a week later for the same thing cause Ripa failed to do her job !!!

The nurses and techs are kind as long as your good. The dr’s are awful. They don’t care about you individually. The nurses are scared of the dr’s. They do not handle diabetics or individuals with special needs or disabilities well. They will give you multiple shots in a day very quickly without trying to de-escalate the situation. Their rules are extreme. It’s cramped on the unit. But the sad thing is so many staff members know they’re not truly being helped, they tell them if you have better care on the outside then get out as fast as you can.
