Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

Kurt RittenhouseClinical DirectorBeing a Primary Therapist is a passion of mine because I’ve seen the power behind Lumiere’s addiction treatment program and how it can positively change the lives of our clients. Part of my role is to help educate our clients and show them that building healthy relationships can become part of an environment that facilitates change, even beyond our walls here at Lumiere. And what really makes our addiction rehab center unique is we believe our commitment to our clients doesn’t stop when their treatment comes to an end, rather we view this as an opportunity for a new beginning and welcome them to the unity and support of our Alumni family.
