  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

    The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is our highest-level treatment program, providing structure and care to individuals who have recently completed a higher level of addiction treatment and need continued support in their recovery. Our PHP sessions meet 5 days per week and typically last 2-4 weeks.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

    The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is our second-highest level of care, providing an ideal step-down experience for individuals who have completed our Partial Hospitalization Program or equivalent and want to strengthen their recovery for the long term. Our IOP sessions meet 5 days per week and typically last 4-6 weeks.

  • Ed Lepage
    Ed LepageExecutive Director
    Ed graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He also completed the drug and alcohol certificate program at University of Massachusetts Boston. Ed has been working in the substance abuse dependency field for the past seven years. He has served in various roles ranging from case manager, admissions, and community outreach. He has also worked extensively in peer recovery-based programs offering “real world experience” to those that suffer from substance use dependency. Ed has been a dedicated practitioner of the 12 steps since 2011.
  • John Schatzel
    John SchatzelClinical Director
    John Schatzel, LICSW, serves as the Clinical Director for Meta Addiction Treatment. John has diverse clinical experience which includes working with youth, adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, families, groups, and geriatric populations. John has provided services on both an inpatient and outpatient level of care including within substance abuse treatment. John is an expert witness with the Massachusetts court system where he conducts evaluations in regard to substance abuse and mental health for outside organizations and the judicial system. John received his training from the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a Harvard Medical School training facility, during his graduate work. John has extensive training in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and special expertise in the evaluation and treatment of sexually dangerous persons.
