La Vista Recovery and Wellness Center is new addition to MFI’s family of specialized programs. La Vista is a private, residential treatment facility nestled on a hilltop with grand views of Mount San Jacinto, Tahquitz Peak, and the valleys of Hemet and San Jacinto. Like a bed and breakfast, this quiet setting provides a safe place for women of all ages to seek the skills with which to build a new life centered on sobriety.

Residential TreatmentResidential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
OutpatientOutpatient treatment describes all addiction treatment that is not residential. Patients live at home while undergoing rehab.
Meet the Staff
- Denise ArellanoAccounting ManagerDenise began her employment at MFI May 22, 2006. She is responsible for all financial reporting to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. This includes maintaining accurate and timely monthly financials, annual budget preparation, annual County cost reporting, assisting with the annual audit, and all other related fiscal and financial matters.
- Zahid MasihBanning Program CoordinatorZahid did his internship at MFI, and in 2011 he began working here part time. After some time, he moved on to San Jacinto where he worked with adolescents and adults in substance abuse recovery. Zahid quickly worked his way up to counselor II, then to lead counselor, and finally to program coordinator. He attended Inter Coast College (ICC) in Riverside, where he received his CADC I. Zahid is certified in Anger Management and Triple P Parenting Level 4. Zahid has always had a passion to help others who are struggling with substance abuse and other life issues. He regularly volunteers at homeless shelters, and also enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and enjoying nature in his free time.
