Specialization

  • 12-Step

The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.
  • Dual Diagnosis/ Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. Facilities that treat patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders provide psychiatric treatment in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation services.

I went to peachford a year ago and the doctor I had there lied to my grandma and said I said “I’m sad” but not once did I say that so they kept me one extra day. There was this little girl I forget how old she was who kept crying for a week straight and nobody would sit and just talk to her so they kept giving her what you guys call it “the booty juice” to calm her down and sleepy nothing was helpful there tbh

The staff there were very nice & caring. They always went out of their way to make sure that everyone was taking of. No they didn’t hurry up for the patients that wanted things their way or right now, the staff did what they could do at the right time. The staff was always up beat and eager to help with groups and listen to us when we had questions. So yes I would absolutely go back there if I needed to because the staff made sure that there was nothing wrong with being there

If going for an assessment, please be aware that this is a Lockdown facility. I was not aware that this was a lockdown facility and I was put in a room with paperwork. I was told that I was going to be checked on shortly.... 2 hours later after witnessing another client complain about having to wait and not being able to just leave, the staff came in and did our assessments. The person who came in to assess me was Megan. She is the only reason, I\'m giving a high review because she was so professional and understanding I hope that if she ever decides to practice therapy that I can be one of her clients. She made me feel very at home and was transparent about the situation and was helpful with providing resources and explaining what that facility could offer.

This place saved my partner\'s life. He was severely depressed and suicidal. The ECT treatment over time pulled him out of his depression. It isn\'t a lavish vacation but if people apply the treatment, they have a chance. Some people just don\'t want to get better.

This place is absolutely horrific. Our family member had a loss and made the sad mistake to drink too much alcohol and was taken prisoner here for 5 days. We had a rehab plan in place for sobriety but no one communicated with us. She was shipped here by an ER that was too overwhelmed with Covid and had no social workers available. At Peachford our family member was at the highest functioning level but was assigned with people undressing, self harming, screaming, fighting. hitting their head against the wall. Spinning on a table top naked and many stories of rape. We contacted them about transfer and Dr agreed if she had a plan in place she couched go anytime and the next day was fine. Of course since Peachford had Insurance approval for 5 days they stopped all communication with us and dragged out the stay for exactly 5 days or $11,000.00. Calls not returned by staff! It\'s all about the money. They claimed to do therapy for alcoholism and it consisted of coloring and scattagories. There were no covid precautions on the unit with mass usage of the same phones without disinfectant and no masks or hand washing available for patients. This is a disgusting facility that is corrupt and is also I understand being investigated for fraud. Never ever send someone to Peachford!
