Providence is where it’s at. I am a 24 year old young woman from a small town in northern Indiana. At the age of 23 I was a alcoholic and an addict.I hit a point in my life where I hated myself and my life and just didn’t want to be here anymore. When I arrived I was so broken and lost just all around a mess. They gave me the will to live again made me realize that a clear mind and a sober life would get me way farther in life then what I was doing. Providence help me to put my faith back in my maker and not in the things of this world. The people there are one of the most loving and genuine ones I have ever met in my life. They want what is best for you they want your recovery to work. They will help you to find yourself give you the tools classes help you to stay sober. This place with forever be my home away from home my saving grace.Providence gives lives back

As an addict (alcoholic), you lose your sense of self worth, meaningful relationships and a love for life in general. That was me when I came to Providence in 2019. The staff gave me so much love and Grace. And the counselors and volunteers who teach classes are amazing and they truly love you. While I was here, I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. We learned about His teachings and the Bible in a way that I had never been exposed to (I did not regularly attend Church and only knew the basics of Christianity). However, I came to the program for court purposes and for pleasing others in my life. For that reason, I did not remain sober for long. I cried out to God and begged Him to save me. So I called Providence during the pandemic in 2020, and the staff immediately said come back and we’ve got you. I can’t explain it but the SAME program that I had been through was completely DIFFERENT to me. It was because I WANTED it and I opened my heart to it all. This place absolutely changed my life! There is so much love and it was so beautiful to watch others come in and be transformed too. I can now say that I am worthy and I am eternally grateful to have had the chance to ‘reset’ my life. Providence Women’s Recovery has a program where you learn to love yourself, gain confidence in living sober, and learning so many coping skills for your future. They also teach you about AA/NA, working the steps, and you attend meetings so you can be comfortable once you leave. I would 1000% recommend this place. It is so affordable, the houses are so nice and you’re surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, and you have freedom to grow into who you were destined to be. You won’t regret coming here. And just know that you’ll make lifelong friends with everyone (staff included) and will have a bigger tribe on helping you fight your disease. It works if you work it!

I went to providence in the summer of 2018. I was scared, broken, nervous etc. When I got there all that changed. They loved me until I couldn\'t love myself. Staff legitimately cares, they want you to get it, and will do whatever it takes. The program itself is excellent, but it was the sisterhood and friendships that made it so special to me. I still talk to a hand full of girls I was in the program with ever single day. Providence will always hold a very special place in my heart, I have met some of the most amazing people who will be in the rest of my life forever. I still think about my days at providence and would do anything to go back, I was truly happy there. I had some of the best times and laughs there. I promise it you give this place a chance, you won\'t regret it. It changed and saved my life, and it can do the same for you!
