Sana Lake Recovery Center

150 Sana Lake Recovery Way, Dittmer, Missouri, 63023
We want the best outcomes for our members and meeting their needs is first in everything we do. We care for our members in a nurturing manner. We support, guide, lead and care for them but do not enable them or others. Treating substance use and concurrent mental health disorders is complex as each individual presents a unique combination of mental health disorders, substances used and readiness for help. Therefore, treatment plans must be personalized to the needs of the individual member. To achieve the best outcomes, we utilize a broad range of available and effective evidence-based psychotherapeutic, pharmacological, naturopathic, and adjunctive approaches so that personalized treatment is effective at meeting the member where they are at. We treat our staff and members with respect and honor their contributions. We invest in the continuing growth, development and nurturing of our staff and they must exemplify our Purpose, Principles, and Philosophies inside and outside of our community. We believe in doing well by doing good. Our stakeholders deserve an adequate return on capital so that we can reinvest capital in helping more people recover.

  • Dual Diagnosis/Co-occurring Disorders Treatment

  • Individualized Treatment

Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.

Meet the Staff

  • Stacy Glenn
    Stacy GlennClinical Director
Stacy Glenn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her BSW from, what is now, Missouri State University in Springfield and her MSW from St. Louis University. The emphasis of both her education and career has been family. Her first job out of school was working with adolescents and families in a comprehensive mental health facility in northwest Arkansas. During this time, she was instrumental in developing the dual diagnosis program for that organization. This is where her drive to work with individuals with substance use disorders began. Her next career decision was a move to a certified substance use treatment program serving under and un-insured populations. She remained with this agency for 17 years carrying the titles of therapist, family services coordinator, clinical supervisor, program director, interventionist and VP of substance use services. Also, within this timeframe, she was an active member of the Missouri Cadre for Co-Occurring Excellence, and acted as the change agent for her agency in becoming more co-occurring capable, and presented at MIMH Spring Institute on how to effectively facilitate change in existing programs. Whereas she worked to bring substance use treatment into a mental health facility, she now was bringing mental health into addiction treatment programs. Stacy continues to be dedicated to being part of systems that work to help people who are struggling with incredibly complex and often, stigmatizing issues. That is why she jumped at the opportunity to be part of the development of Sana Lake Recovery Center, where she has the role of Clinical Director.

I am a graduate of the University of Colorado with specialized training in traumatic stress and addiction. As a therapist I believe that symptoms resulting from stressful life experiences can be treated using validated scientific interventions. Addiction can often accompany traumatic stress. In an effort to cope, individuals frequently find themselves trapped by the comforting yet costly effects of addictive behaviors.

Sana lake CLAIMS to have a professional and well educated staff, that is about 50% true. The ‘doctor’ and nursing staff can’t seem to do anything but call an ambulance whenever when you do as little as sneeze. I’m epileptic and when I had a seizure they called an ambulance. I’ve had epilepsy for about 15 years. I was coherent enough to explain this to them and I was told I either go to the hospital or I can’t stay there. I got back from the hospital and was ‘released’ around 2:30 am. I would recommend trying a different facility because you will not be happy or benefit from your stay.

My daughter was kicked out 1 day fresh out of detox, such a detrimental time in the recovery of an addict. They’re not equipped to handle all the issues and they really didn’t care.

I went in Sana with little hope for recovery... I received great overall treatment & I left with self worth and a great recovery plan. I'm still in early recovery, but I'm in RECOVERY because of this place and some people who are members here. Thank you

My son was admitted for some addiction and behavioral issues. This facility reported daily that he was doing very well and participating until day 13 when they decided he was not cooperating and discharged him to his own devices, homeless and lost again. My son and I had so much hope and are very disappointed with the lack of communication when things didn't go as planned. Therefore, I do not believe they are prepared to deal with behavioral or mental issues.

I came to Sana Lake hopeless and lost. Everyone there made me feel welcomed and loved . I had went to other treatment centers and only here was I treated as an individual and cared for based on what I needed. The therapy was on point and challenged me to face traumas that were causing my disease to continue. Thank you to all of the Sana Lake staff and other members, I am for the first time in 10 years in recovery!
