In addition to substance use, addiction, and mental health clinical programming, we work with the whole ecosystem of an individual by providing academic & vocational support prior to every group session, weekly multi-family group sessions, weekly individual sessions, and participation in community events. Sandstone Care has facilities serving Denver and Boulder, Colorado.

Specialization

  • Holistic Therapy

Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Programs vary in terms of how much treatment patients receive, how often and for how long. Some facilities design individualized intensive outpatient treatment programs.

We had a very negative experience at the Sandstone Denver residential treatment center for teens. The primary therapist was aggressive. Sensitive information shared without our permission. Poor oversight and insufficient care of the kids. It was a traumatic experience for our family during a difficult period of time. Would not recommend, there are superior residential programs available.

My Son was recently admitted to SandStone. While going through the admissions procedures, it was amazing how gentle, kind, communicative they were all while understanding some of the hardship and issues going on in our lives. It was so nice to have the support of the staff. Staff worked hand-in-hand with us and our insurance to make sure they could maximize our benefits and make sure the commitment made to us would stand while providing the best of care. I am completely amazed at the truthfulness and honesty of this team of heroes.

I DO NOT recommend this facility for treatment! My daughter went to Sandstone in Colorado Springs. She started in the detox program. She Is lucky it could have been much worse. Very poorly ran facility! My daughter left in less than a week. She went to a different facility in Lubbock and did AWESOME!! This facility also has horrible communication! Don’t trust this facility to take care of your loved one.

I honestly don't know where to start. I have so much respect for this facility and this team. In the 8 weeks my son was in the IOP I was not necessarily hopeful, I went in thinking it might make a bit of an impact. I was SO wrong, not only did he finish his 8 weeks drug free, he came through those weeks with a sense of himself, with hope and a great experience with a community that he became very close to. One on one therapy, 4 nights a week of group therapy, one on one therapy with parents, one 3 hour family night a week. I could go on and on. This is my second involvement with a treatment center, and they are two totally different animals, The Meadows in Arizona came to us through a therapist, what a waste of time and a huge price tag, from intake to finish it was a disappointment, conversely Sandstone proved their program from day one, their involvement in every client is apparent, I am not assuming that, I heard it from almost every single client that was in my son's group, I experienced it in my therapy sessions with my son and with the weekly family nights. The very strange thing is I personally will miss the support of this group of people who make up the staff at Sandstone and my weekly family nights that I not only got to spend time with my son and his peers but to learn. I cannot recommend this facility enough if you are going through a crisis in your family or life, they truly CARE.
