Susan B Anthony Recovery Center

1633 Poinciana Drive, Pembroke Pines, Florida, 33025
Created from the vision of a small group of women in the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale in 1995, The Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has grown from one group home, housing five mothers and six children, to a beautiful 5.5 acre campus in Pembroke Pines with the capacity to serve over sixty families. The Center provides women with a safe, supportive setting in which they can address their substance abuse without being separated from their children. The highly structured program emphasizes family values and also offers treatment for children, taking a holistic approach to healing entire families.

  • Residential Treatment

Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.

I am appalled at how this program instead of helping these women out, make them swim against the current. It is sad to see what happens when the wrong person gains control of vulnerable people. I had the pleasure of working with several of these young women from the program and it never failed that towards the end of the program, instead of promoting positive and responsible behavior, you seem to find a reason (which there never has been in the cases that I seen) to influence them to fail instead of exiting the program in good spirits. Shame on you on trying to break down someone after they have struggled to piece themselves back together. I pray for your souls.
